Mono-chromatic

2019

I got mono in April 2019. I was on leave from work for two weeks, living alone, had to muster the strength to go half a block to the market or do laundry, and watched a lot of Netflix. That time and the recovery process led me to this series of (relatively) larger, paneled pieces, characterized by one color in acrylic and details articulated in charcoal.

When its anniversary rolled around, that experience felt like a dress rehearsal for shelter in place.
